Taryn Lynch was born in Long Beach, New York, and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Psychology salutatorian and Summa Cum Laude at Hunter College while focusing on further developing her performance and choreographic styles. She has completed Broadway Dance Center’s 6 month Independent Training Program, working closely under the instruction of Billy Griffin, Lizz Picini, Sarah Hoge, and Jaclyn Walsh. She has trained at her local studio, The Dance Loft under the direction of Willa Damien, along with the Joffrey Ballet School and American Ballet Theater during their various summer programs. Taryn highlighted the choreographic style and authenticity of her movement through her piece “Spice”, performed in the Peggy Theater at Hunter in the Winter of 2021. She has used her choreographic exploration to combine her two passions and address various psychological ideas through movement as seen with her latest choreographic work of “Dissociated” that was performed in Spring 2022.
